Yes and no, I mucked up a patch and it forced a reset of my H2O. After set up it would occasionally spit errors of 'something went wrong' when doing anything with wifi. I just turned the wifi off, then back on and told it to forget the network. Reconnected just fine. So not sure if it was an issue with 3.19 or just an odd glitch that happened.

I had this on the Aura as well (until I downgraded my firmware). It wasn't unreadable or anything, but there was a definite ghost image of the sleep screen.

Thanks, Peter, for the good advise.

I have this problem on my Aura with FW3.18, so I don't think this is new. I find it is more noticeable when I wake from a sleep cover than it is when I use the switch to sleep. I find it lingers for a few page turns.

[QUOTE=davidfor;3222729][QUOTE=AskzYDre;3222699]Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread: For the Kobo Touch Low Cost/N905C, I just press the home button and the "Critical Error" dialog goes away. No need to sign out or register. No apparent loss of bookmarks, etc.
Quote:
Is this with a non-registered device? Or are you referring to something else?

It should. It is working on my both of my N905 Touch's. You haven't enabled the screenshots have you? If so, this takes over the sleep function of the switch.
I have registered it before but at the time it was not registered. (also hadn't enabled screenshots). Also did a factory reset and sideloaded the firmware again, and the no-sleep condition remains. I guess I should try registering it next, eh?

I have an unregistered Kobo C running under FW 3.19.5613. The sleep function is working. Therefore, registering should not be related to your problem.

Does FullScreenReading work after this new firmware version? Or does it still have the refresh-at-each-page issue? If it does, I'll just stay at 3.16.0

The new firmware has rolled out to my Australian H2O on sync. I'm not noticing any problems. I looked at the new fonts - they didn't cause problems, but with no bold, they're not of much use to me anyhow.

I miss terribly the gothic font!

Hello,
I have done the release. I am quite disappointed on one point which matters a lot for me. I read all my books with the "GOTHIC" font which has disappeared with the firmware upgrade.
Is there somebody knowing where I could find that specific font?
I have found out how to add fonts. My problem is where to find it.
It can sound superficial, but that font is really the top level of comfort for me. My eyes love that font. It is about the short line spacing and the shape. in one word, for me, the most readable of all. I miss fiercely the font!
I could come back to the initial version of the firmware, but I'll lose the possible improvements, plus I 'll have to sync all my books again, I 'll lose all bookmarks, etc.
if someone knows where I could find that exact font, thank you so much to tell me.

It is easy to recover the source ghotic. You have to extract the font of the koboRoot.tgz of previous firmware and copy it to the same path of a new KoboRoot.tgz. Copy it in .kobo and restarted de reader.

It is in KoboRoot.tgz\KoboRoot.tar\.\usr\local\Trolltech\Qt Embedded-4.6.2-arm\lib\fonts\Gothic MB101.otf

The problem is that that is a font that Kobo licensed, and now their license has changed, resulting in the removal of certain fonts from the newest firmware, and their replacement by other licensed fonts.

I think this message explains all.
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=166

At the moment you bought your reader it was included with your font,so at the moment you bought it you had a valid licence to use it.
There is a new update who doesn't have the font any more, but Kobo doesn't inform us that the licence is revoked. (is it ?? )
So until they do that, your license must be still valid so extracting it from, lets say 3.18.0 must be legal.
