WHEE.....It's taken only 18 months!!! Tomorrow my latest Project Gutenberg US project will be available for download. It is The Doomsman by Van Tassel Sutphen (1907) (Author died in 1945, PD in US, Life + 50, but not Life + 70 until 2016) I won't say it's a great book, but my third PG US contribution.

(It should have illustrations...)

Sorry .... the orthodontic type. I've been wearing mine for 35 years now (but just at night).

I moved my modem to the office, which meant the cable guy had to come out to do something to the coax port in the office, so the internet has been down for about 36 hours, then I had problems getting the router to link back in ..... and then this morning I had to take a very sick kitty (fever of 105) to the doctor. He'll be in the hospital for the next two weeks. My poor child .... he just was acting odd, and I figured he must be sick, and as it turns out, I was right.

So, I got next to no sleep last night (too worried about little Winston) and was up checking on him every few hours, so I'm a zombie right now, and planning to go to bed extremely early tonight (after I eat something ... I don't think I ate today and I'm really REALLY hungry).

Oh, and yes ... that John Larroquette. Odd though, he and I were just fellow travelers in the dream. No idea why it was him, although I have always liked his acting, and he seems like a nice guy.

I just got off the phone with the hospital. Winston is still not eating or drinking, but he is starting to act more alert, and he is grooming himself, so he must feel a lot better.

They are pushing fluids into him (he was very dehydrated from the fever), but he hasn't peed yet. He still isn't eating, but they are working on getting him to eat something (anything) as well. We're more worried about the fluids than the food right now.

I'll be driving out to the hospital to visit him tomorrow. I'll probably take some dry Cheerios or Cheez-its with me (he LOVES those) and see if I can tempt him with those.

Oh yes, as to what is wrong. We think that one of the grownups might have bitten him a little too hard during play and it got infected. There's no abscess and he never acted as if he had a wound or anything, so I don't think anyone was out to hurt him (my cats are not generally like that), but these things do happen.

And thinking maybe I ought to eat some lunch.
