hello from the middle of the midwest
...or flyover land, or something of the sort. I am strongly considering starting a publishing company in which e-publishing for Treos, iPhones, and BlackBerries would be an important part. I'm not totally new to this-- in a prior job in legal publishing, I created e-book versions of texts for both Palm eReader (or whatever they called it 8-10 years ago) and Rocket eBook, although none of those ever went to market. I'm a practicing attorney as well, currently representing the state tax department in bankruptcy and collections matters.

I'm glad to have discovered this forum-- I've got some questions I'd like to ask the hive mind, and I hope I can contribute as well.

In my consulting I often refer to "tribal knowledge". I think "hive mind" conveys the same concept -- that knowledge which isn't necessarily written down or organized into proper documentation. A wiki is an attempt to gather and organize such knowledge into a usable format.
