I fixed the title for you Katie! I just ordered one myself. Order it from Chapters as you can get a good deal with the CAD to USD exchange rate. Mine came to $84.48 with shipping so I saved a good deal of money there.

I finding out Kobo hates me! I tried signing in they say don't recognize me! Yet when I asked for new PassWord I got it & every thing seems fine. Try again Nope Cant even start a new account as they have my email address!

Your welcome. I've nevered change my Kobo password but I am starting a new account. I don't want 500+ books downloaded on the HD Glo which is what I am told will happen just like it does on the android app. I plan to sideload everything.

If you're certain the email and password are correct, try deleting the cookies for Kobo in your browser and try it again.

The differences I can think of are:

Resolution: Glo is 768 x 1024, Glo HD is 1448 x 1072

Screen: Glo uses Pearl, Glo HD uses Carta (one generation of screen later)

Internal Storage: Glo 2GB, Glo HD 4GB
(Note: some later Glo's came with a 4GB card, but only 2GB was formatted)

External Storage: Glo has micro SD slot

Controls: Glo has separate button for light.

Don't I need to get the Kobo app on my PC so I can transfer ebooks to calibre? I plan to transfer all side load. Plus I do need the ability to do collections.

You don't need the app at all. You can download them as you do till now and you send them with driver. And you can do collections at the device or from calibre.

It tells me I have an account using my email address they even sent me a new PassWord set up email Hours ago!
Now it says

I Never had Kobo on this PC so shouldn't have any Cookies..what ever that is

I cant even get any Help on the site!

Thought I had to Register the Device to do Collection

Couse having an Account is useless other wise. Cant buy ebooks on Kobo.. Have to get them from Amazon Only place that takes Gift Cards!

You don't need the Kobo desktop app for anything (unless you want to download kePub's to your computer). If you're going to sideload ePub's (or Calibre created kePub's) there is no reason to install the Kobo desktop that I can think of. What I do for eBooks purchased from Kobo is download the ePub from the website (99.5% of my purchased books have a separate ePub download) and dump those into Calibre. The only time I've used the Kobo desktop was twice in the past couple of years when I got a book that was kePub only.

See this for info on using Calibre to auto generate collections on a Kobo (alternately you can create them manually on the device)...

The Glo HD has the same 300dpi Carta screen that the PW3 & Voyage have.

You don't need a Kobo account to buy a device from Chapters.

You can use any old email address to create a new account if you just want to register your Kobo.
