URGHGHGHG!

I have this UN-freaking-BELIEVABLE series of emails with this guy, that I really want to RANT about, but they are SO BLOODY LONG that I could never put them in here...and they're too long for Clients From Hell, too. DAMMIT! I've never done that--actually relayed a real client conversation, verbatim--but this one really DESERVES it.

The weather changed unexpectedly. This, compounded by the fact that my house, built in the early 60s, has somewhat ... non-standard ... measurements, means that I did not get as much work done as I had hoped towards installing a new storm door.

Another factor is that the weather change last night resulted in my sinuses closing up, a massive headache, and a dry mouth from redirected breathing.

I wish I'd thought of that instead of saying "sorry, we're not a match." He continues to email me, first SCOLDING me for things I'm "not doing right," and lecturing me. I mean...seriously? (For example, when I explained that there's really no way to secure eBook and PDF products, he told me that OF COURSE there's a way, I just don't know it. Yup, like that all the way through.)

@Paul: they really are ungodly long. I think that maybe, about 2 other people here would even be interested or get the entertainment value. (I wish we had a vent and rant thread for commercial bookmakers as a sub-fora, somewhere. We really don't have one of those.) Otherwise, I'd do it.

Big honking sheets of clear heavy-duty plastic, is my suggestion. For what that's worth.

P.S.: I spent my teenage years in a 400+ year old house. Started out as a simple farmer's house, in the 1600's. Was added onto innumerable times. Wanna talk non-standard sizes and materials??? Huh, huh? G'wan, put 'em up, I dare ya. ;-)

(Okay, I give up. What's with all the handrawn Xmas illos for avatars? I know, I know...my inner not-nerd is showing, 'cuz I don't know this, but...what gives?)

It is 5Wiggle and 5WiggleWife's kids drawings. It started in the endless thread. Or check out the Christmas avatars threads to see them all.

I think on that control freak I would have been tempted to tell him if the securing can be done why don't you do it yourself. Oh and that oversized glow in the dark dido could find a home with him too.

We covered our attic vents with heavy black plastic.

Hmmm, sounds like a suggestion would be in order for M$ (or whatever email client you use) to add a feature to FLOOD the senders inbox with a "YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED!!" message for those kind of folks.

Does Outlook allow macros?

Does the sender get a bounceback when they send a message to an address that has blocked them? So that they KNOW?
