A mug of Peet's Holiday Breakfast Blend from last year. This is the absolute last of it, and from the looks of things, it's NOT a blend they're going to continue in the new model. Sad, I always looked forward to it. Not as much as the Anniversary Breakfast Blend of the spring, but still one I usually liked.

oolong but I need something far stronger. I share an office with two retired Marines and one retired Army Ranger. To say that there has been a strong reaction to the inclusion of women in combat roles is an understatement.

I need booze. Lots of booze.

I recommend kynak (Liaden reference). But short of that, how about some Keemun. A bit more bite than Oolong.

For myself, today, it's going to be Major Dickason's Blend coffee all morning. That kind of night.

I tried the new (to me) Guinness Nitro IPA -- a very strongly hoppy IPA made with the trademark Guinness nitrogen bubbles -- a dark amber IPA that packs a punch but goes down very smooth. Intense hoppy finish. In cans with their trademark gizmo to generate a very dense head.

Sounds like something I would like. I tend towards IPAs, and I like hoppy. But it IS possible to go too far down the hops road, as I've found out with a couple of micro-brews that were simply too much. I'll have to keep my eyes open for this one, though.

Spent yesterday decompressing. I have too many things pulling me in different directions, and it's starting to get to me. So I sat down with some knitting I hadn't picked up in quite a while and started listening to the latest Michael Connelly Harry Bosch/Mickey Haller mystery. Then the Canada Cup (curling) semi-finals came on, and I watched those while I continued knitting. All in all, a peaceful day.

Drinking Peet's English Breakfast Blend tea this morning. Just your basic cuppa, but black for me, thank you.

I told Alexa that I wanted "Tea, Earl Grey, Hot" but she said the replicators were off line, so I had to use the Keurig instead.
