yes, i was very happy when i looked out the window and saw the snow falling. i liked it so much i was walking around taking photos (i took about 70 in fact...

) for 2 hours and i didn't even realise i was cold until i came back home (and noticed my feet were wet...). it's so cold this year, maybe it will even snow again !!

We're back on the upside here in Texas. High today is projected at 17 C, tomorrow at 20 C.

Sunshine and dewpoint around 2 C.

heh, actually it's "buttes chaumont". "butte" means a hill, and chaumont comes from "chauve" (bald) and "mont" (mountain), because the buttes chaumont is actually completely artificial hills formed from all the rubble they dug out when they were excavating to build the city (there are a lot of quarries in the neighborhood, and a lot of streets have names in relation). big bald piles of rock with no vegetation on them... could have been really ugly... so instead they turned it into a park. now it's really nice.

they're better than abbott and costello, i swear. *and* they keep my feet warm (sometimes). best roommates ever. i don't KNOW WHAT i would do without them.

I bet if Z-chan puts her leg warmers on Hugo and Lefty will be quite happy to help keep her feet warm. (At least indoors.)

...at least Hugo. Lefty might need a little coaxing. The honest truth is that Lefty is completely besotted with Zelda and would spend every moment wrapped around her foot, if Hugo weren't constantly dragging him into various misadventures. Plus Lefty emits a rather shronky tone when Zelda wears him, which proves disruptive to work, outings with friends, and sanity, which is why he is so often politely encouraged to "comptez le nombre de SHUMs maintenant, ma chère".

By the sound of the tiny ice particles tapping on the window panes, I surmise the snow has changed over to sleet. (Either that or there's a flock of tiny white ravens out there.) It is supposed to change to rain in a little while, at which point I plan to drive to work (I'm sort-of-working from home this morning).

I'm a bit windblown. I should point out that this is not a good look for me. I couldn't even wear a hat because the wind would have whisked it away. The weather has been rather unsettled for the past 24 hours...gusty wind and rain one minute and bright blue sky and sun the next. I went outside at lunch and only one side of my car was wet because it was raining sideways.
