I seem to have resurrected my printer. It didn't want to turn on anymore. Removing the power cable for a while seemed to have worked. After Googling I found this to be a known problem for this printer.
My cartridges are almost empty. So the biggest question is will I invest in a new set of cartridges or will I invest in a new printer? |

Someone threw up on the bed, and now I don't feel so good. It's probably just psychosomatic from seeing it on the bed immediately after my mid-day nap. It had to have been Norton, as the cat has never been on the bed. Norton appears fine, although he's not eating since the Thanksgiving turkey ran out yesterday. Too much turkey, maybe? He did eat a small amount of hamburger I was cooking for supper yesterday. I thought he had eaten his Mighty Dog, but my grandson told me his cat sneaked out of his room and ate that.

Perhaps while he was outside doing his business, he ate some grass.

He had very short "notice" that he was going to throw up -- maybe 10 to 15 seconds of heaving. He'd make a quick, frantic search for me and, if he found me in time he'd get out to the yard. But sometimes I'd find a thick puddle by the door. I hope Norton was just off his feed and bounces back. |

Maybe reinstalling and updating will help, but it doesn't *always* work like that. This seems to be a non-standard Norton, designed to catch mice instead of viruses. Maybe you should just call Symantec for more information.

My chihuahua gets sensitive at times too. No notice at all. But then he also takes spells where he eats either nothing or constantly.
Yes, hope Norton and his owner feel better soon. |

That's Norton. Sometimes I wonder where he puts it all, and other times he even refuses his favorites. He doesn't seem at all as if he's feeling unwell. I think it must have been the steady diet of turkey the last few days. I boiled all the meat off the bones of what was left over and made 4 or 5 meals out of it for him.

What I object to, more than the ubiquitous clean-up, is that he's such a baby about it. When his tummy is upset--and god forbid it's night, and I'm asleep--he has to come get me up and tell me about it. He licks me, sits on me, head-butts me..."Mom, mom mom, I don't feel good. You better get up!" And given his size--nearly 20lbs of MC muscle--you simply can't ignore him. Lock him out? Oh, sure...then he caterwauls and carries on and grabs the damn bedroom door from beneath and slams it against the frame in some Dustin-Hoffman-in-The-Graduate riff. When he urps, there's no rest for the wicked--he persists until I get up, and he's assured that it's been cleaned up. I had a Great Dane, a harlequin, decades ago. 225 lbs. He once had the runs--the tail end, not the nose end--and that mess ended up all OVER the bed. Holy crap! Literally. What a gigantic mess that was. Those of you with dogs barfing or worse have my sympathies. 20lb monster cats are bad enough. Hitch |

ok,
It's been a week after Thanksgiving, and I'm still gassy from eating too much Turkey. Anyone else have this problem? |

It's an inkjet printer and I do need it for my projects. I ended up ordering a set of cartridges, the printer in the livingroom and my sister's printer use the same cartridges, so if my printer decides to die they can use the cartridges.

I had an interesting trip home last night. I'm not really complaining because it was an adventure that ended well.
I biked and bused to work. The reasons I do that, instead of just biking the whole way are the fact the bike is a bit of a clunky cruiser and I am not a strong cyclist. Doing part of it on the bus doesn't save me much time but it gets me past the more dangerous parts to bike. Why don't I just walk to and from the bus? It is about 1/2 mile from my house to the bus and just under a mile (through the park) from the bus to work. I don't object to walking but I walk slowly and I can't really get to the bus home quickly enough and, when I walk, have to wait for the next one. It is every hard to make it to that bus by bike. Anyway, several things happened to enliven said trip home. I left my phone charging in my office at work, the tires on my bike were slightly low (making it a little hard to "push"), and I missed the bus by *this much*. I had several options at this point. I didn't realize I didn't have my phone until I was on the other side of the park, or I might have gone back to get it. However, at that time of night, security might have locked the outside doors, which I don't have a key to. I could have gone to the coffee house in the park and begged for a phone to call my mother but I made a different choice. I knew I could probably get home in about the same amount of time with biking alone as I could with biking and busing, so I went for it. If any of you have heard news stories about the City of the Drowned Crescent Moon, you know we have crime here, so I was a little nervous but not too much, even though I did have to bike through a somewhat rough area. Anyway, I made it home safe despite biking in the dark and the prevalence of crime in NOLA. I feel that is an accomplishment. Last edited by covingtoncat73; 12-04-2015 at 12:28 PM.
