Book view - why is i still there?

Just cause i'm curious - why is book view still present? Compared with the preview one can edit - but it is recommended not to do so. If i take away this feature away from book view, whats the reason to have book view and preview in Sigil?

So don't edit in it, just ignore the fact that Book View exists. It's not bothering you, so why are you bothering it?

Why does it exist -- maybe because some people still use it, unwise as that might be?
Maybe because there are still one or two things you NEED it for. (e.g. copy-pasting formatted text from Word.)

I'm bothering cause i dont like to have the same functionality twice on my computer. And it wastes time to the developers to maintain (nearly) the same functionality.

Sometimes old stuff needs to be deleted.

I suggest you let the developers worry about whether or not they need to or want to maintain the same functionality.
I assure you they are well aware of the pros, cons, and ramifications. In fact, they've discussed it in this forum several times already.

If it bothers you that much to have the same functionality twice on your computer, I suggest you uninstall Sigil, and then you won't have the same functionality twice on your computer anymore.
