I bought a Blu-ray player, the Moto E, a DVR, and HDMI cables. Might still get a portable hard drive, but I'll probably wait for Monday's sales.

Kobo has it on sale on their website for 20 off the regular price--does anyone know if the coupon: perkopolis gets another 10 percent off the sale price? It used to work to SOMETIMES get 10 percent off readers, but the code didn't always work. Worth a try if you happen to be trying the sale at the site.

Only thing I really got was a 1TB hard drive to use in backing up the stuff on my Linux box. Probably going to mirror it here at home, then put Linux on an old, old PC and stick the drive in it. Then put it at my Dad's house for remote backups. I'd been needing one for that, and I got it really cheap.

I did just order a three pack of 10foot USB to micro USB cables, but they weren't on sale.

the SanDisk 32 gb microSD card
the Seagate 1 TB backup hard drive

The SanDisk card was shipped promptly, but the other two item have not yet gone out.

Checking the associate info, it's just Canada and US that I see (and I can't always tell if Canada has these things going. They split us as associates so I'm not a Canadian associate for those sales.) I think this is the first time they've even bothered with a Black Friday sale since it's largely a US thing (but growing elsewhere).

Not many deals of interest today. I looked around to see if anything was worth posting on the blog, but yesterday's deals (kindle, kobo) are still pretty much the most interesting. Or maybe it's just me but that echo product seems like a product looking for an audience.

I love my Echo. I was one of the first to get one last year when they were invite only and selling for $99. I picked up a second one a couple of weeks ago for $75 and will be gifting it to one of my kids. It's a great device for music and audiobooks; my primary uses for it. Others will like using it for information, home automation or as a bluetooth speaker.

I shall check the amazon price and perhaps I can update the deals post I do for the echo. I'm sure it's on some kind of sale. I found a couple of small cameras on sale (they are discontinued so running around 100). We still use a little point and shoot because it's better than a phone camera, but most people have higher-end phones so they probably don't need a camera!

We did get the 10 dollar Moto so we'll have a camera phone!
