This one surprised me since I was #3 in line this morning. I wonder if the others who were in line got tired of waiting and just bought it.

The Aeronaut's Windlass was very good. I look forward to the next one and it has given me some hope that Dresden will become slightly more to my liking that the first 3 books were.

Back to The Forever War. I should be able to finish it this week too.

Finished The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox by Barry Hughart. Very enjoyable, and immensely funny. Pretty sure it's about as historically accurate as anything in a Disney film, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

On to Seraphina in dead-tree format, and I also picked up Henrietta Lacks for next to nothing at a Goodwill, so that's on my TBR pile.

As predicted, Seraphina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty was a quick read, but very good. It is rapidly making its way around the family.

Next up, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, a non-fic I've been wanting to read for some time.

Currently reading Turn Coat by Jim Butcher. Good to read about Harry Dresden again, it's been awhile.

A fun series. Even my DW loves it. If you get a chance, consider getting the Audible narration of it. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is the perfect voice for Peter Grant.

Meanwhile, nearly finished with Frank Chadwick's Come the Revolution.This is the second in the Sasha Naradny series, and I'm enjoying it as much as the first, which is a really good sign. Recommended.

I"m starting on Number 2 in the series also. I got lucky, my library has the first 3 in audio available. And the hold list isn't very long. The narration is very good!

I enjoyed this and can understand why it struck a chord with people right at the end of the Vietnam War.

Next up is either Judas Unchained, book 2 of the Pandora's Star/Commonwealth Saga by Peter F. Hamilton, or A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson depending on which I can get from the library first.

I am reading an interesting novel - Pride and Prejudice - that is really not just romantic, but also am amazing story! this is worth reading undoubtedly!

I just finished A Fire Upon the Deep. It was good...pretty interesting concept about the universe being separated into "zones" which affect technology and faster than light travel.

Just started The Name of the Wind so hopefully Rothfuss announces the third book soon!

And a good middle, and a pretty good end. I've looking for ward to the rest in the series, so I won't rush them all at once. An excellent urban magic series so far, I just hope that the series arc lives up to the promise of the individual novels.

[Edit]Next: Dreadnaught by Jack Campbell. The first of his Beyond the Frontier series which immediately follows on from his Lost Fleet series.

Finished The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, which was an excellent book.

It does not paint the medical community of the mid-20th century in a very good light, though there were heroes as well as villains; and the abject poverty of the Lacks family through to the modern age is just... I'm glad that the author set up a trust for the descendants of Henrietta and is sending profits from the book to it. It's the only thing of value to come down to them from this whole affair.

At any rate, finished, will read again. Next up is Cayo Hueso by Keith DeCandido; interesting enough, but it's one of those teaser books that is working very hard to convince the reader to buy previously written material... I'm actually more than halfway through, so I'll finish reading it.
