Cannot Connect to Kindle Fire HDX

I have a Kindle Fire HDX and am running the latest version of Calibre. For the past two months or so, Calibre doesn't want to pick up my device.

It will try for several minutes, and eventually Calibre will crash. I'm at a loss!

Does anyone have any advice?

Try going back to the previous version since it worked. If it still work, it's a bug in Calibre. If not, it's something else.

Standard advice would be to restart both the computer and the Kindle.
