I don’t remember the previous books being this way, has with a lot of series the first books for me where great, the last ones where good, I like that the books had a lot of action and seemed to be fast paced, always something going on that made you want to keep reading, I had trouble to stop reading them, but with this one I had trouble to read it.

I don’t know if the this book really is so different from the ones before or if it is my taste that changed. I would like to know your thoughts about that book if you have read it.
I liked the latest KGI! Thought it was much better than the last couple. Really the last two were forgettable or downright bad and I thought this one was getting back to the level of the first couple of books in the series. It did tend to go on in some spots but I found it much improved. I could not put it down once I started.

Perhaps encouraging the author to try some of the less populated sub-genre's? Publishers are always trying to predict the next big area of any genre, such as the rise of NA's popularity, so that they've got titles in their catalog when it "takes off". Maybe RS isn't as popular at that particular publisher or something?
Thanks. Which self-pub authors?

I read them all but Rachel and Kaylea are my favorites. Carolyn Crane's The Associates series are pretty awesome, too.

Ooh, and Liliana Hart's books are not bad either.

Oh I am adding them all to my wishlist! Thank you all! I think I may have a few from last year. I love books with action in them but I don't care to read psychological thrillers that are so popular.

Free - a Christmas novella from Kat Latham who writes the London Legends rugby series from Carina Press. I really enjoyed this one and have read a couple of others in the series (hot rugby players for the win! ).

Unwrapping Her Perfect Match by Kat Latham

Spoiler:
’Twas a week before Christmas, and at the auction house...

At six foot one, Gwen Chambers has felt like a giant her whole life. She’s a calm, capable nurse saving lives in a busy London hospital, but healthy men give her heart palpitations. When larger-than-life rugby player “Little” John Sheldon convinces her to bid on him in his team’s fundraising auction, she discovers how pleasurable heart palpitations can be.

A rugby player was stirring, with desire no one could douse...

John has wanted Gwen since he first saw her, but when he’s injured in a match just before Christmas he suddenly needs her too. Not only can the sexy nurse help him recover, but she might be able to help him look after his daughter—a shy ten-year-old who speaks only French.

But will it be a Happy Christmas for all, and for all a good night?

From decorating the Christmas tree to ice skating at the Tower of London, Gwen helps father and daughter open up and bond with each other—and she bonds right along with them. But when John's agent calls with a life-changing offer, Gwen has to decide how far she’s willing to go for her perfect match. Will their first Noël also be their last?

Free, How to Get Lucky - Erin McCarthy

Spoiler:
Sometimes a girl just needs to figure out how to get lucky…

Allison Parker knows winning the New York state lottery is impossible for a retail slave and fashion designer wanna-be who doesn’t, uh, play the lottery. But after a particularly bad day at work and a random prediction from a quirky psychic, she does just that, and wins. Money. Lots of it.

Marco Lucky is exhausted over his bandmates and their diva antics and is looking for an escape. Yet finding a quiet spot in New York City is damn near impossible and he’s already tired of the women hitting on him strictly because he’s famous. But then the crazy brunette with the winning lottery ticket tells him exactly what she thinks of him and it isn't flattering. He finds himself determined to get to know her better... a whole lot better and prove he is worth her time.

Allison figures it’s only fitting that she be the first woman in the history of ever to hit the lottery and score a smoking hot rock star all in one night, only to wake up with her entire life destroyed a mere eighteen hours later when her lottery ticket is missing. Marco’s offer of help makes her feel like the biggest lame ass loser ever, and while she can't take his money, she can take a weekend in LA and some smoking hot sex. But that's all it can be with him rich and hitting the road and her hitting the unemployment line.

From two different cities, and two different worlds, can Marco and Allison put the issue of money to bed? Because being lucky in love just might be hitting the jackpot after all…

HOW TO GET LUCKY is book three in the "Sexy in NYC" series. The first two books, The Pregnancy Test and You Don't Know Jack, are also currently available by USA Today and NY Times bestselling author Erin McCarthy. After ten years of waiting to conclude the series, follow these girlfriends as they all find love, laughter, and labels in Manhattan.

I emailed my Kobo receipt for Harlequin purchases to Harlequin Rewards on Monday and the points still haven't been added to my account. Think I should drop them a line? I work in customer service and hate when customers send duplicate requests so I'm hesitant to do this!

I know I sent them some emails and haven't heard back either. Going by some posts on the Harlequin blog about the $1.99 sale they may be backed up with extra emails, both because of the sale in general and because the automatic system wasn't crediting the full 1,000 points per sale book for a lot of titles.
