It depends on what your needs are. I picked up the LG Volt (Android) and the Nokia 520 (Windows) last year. The Volt is far more versatile than the Nokia because the Windows appstore is very weak when it comes to book related apps. So I use the Nokia mostly for music. Did I need it? No! But for $10, it's a great music player and I don't regret getting it. The Volt is my go to audio player.

So, do you need or want a streaming audio player (audiobooks, music, podcasts, etc)? If yes, then an Android no contract phone (NCP) is far more versatile than a Windows NCP.

IIRC this works on all LG phones. From the Language Select screen, press keys in this order
1: Volume Up
2: Volume Down
3: Back Button
4: Home Button

I just activated it w/o payment. I bought the boost version. I chose a plan etc. on their website, didn't enter any payment method and it got activated.
I later also rooted the device using KingRoot.

I don't have any activation nags (after restart or anything).

If you're willing to root but don't want to register try that first. I think it'll stop it by itself.

OK I am having a problem seeing the Walmart ad... Says I have to Download it on an APP? Well I cant. But just looking at the 1st page which is ALL I can see. They have a 40" TV on sale BUT I cant see the Brand! Can any one tell me what Brand TV it is?
