Would Kobo WiFi be good enough for today's standards? I want to buy an Ereader with physical buttons and Kobo Wifi seems satisfying.

You'd be hard pressed to find one that is going to last any length of time - they must all have end of life or near end of life batteries by now. The screen is very subpar, the device is slow, the fonts limited - even the button pad, that you're buying it for, are pretty rubbish.
A lot of people like the haptic buttons of the Kindle Voyage; you could maybe look out for a secondhand Nook with buttons (if you're in the USA) or one of the older Kindles (again, subpar screen tech); you could consider the non mainstream readers like Onyx or Pocketbook; or you could see if your requirement for physical buttons is truly a requirement. I really can't recommend buying a 2010 ereader. |

Good luck, Mike. Kobo wifi is nice and satisfying like you said. I've been using it for 3 months and been very satisfied.

But if I wanted a non-touch eReader I would be much more inclined to go with a Kindle 4 NT -- much faster, more features and more and clearer fonts. Of course, that's assuming your not specifically looking for an ePub Reader. Good luck. |
