Mini New Kobo Mini on sale (old demo units, actually)

I see that there is a new Kobo Mini on sale and I am interested since my old one is losing power, but was wondering if anyone knows if there are any new software updates/changes from the older models?

Where is this?

I assume this is not a new release, just new old stock.

You can use the newest firmware on the Mini, if you follow the instructions which are on this site.

eta - I would hesitate to pay the prices asked on ebay at the moment. I personally wouldn't pay more than $50 (incl shipping) for a Mini.

Now that I would recommend, peitsao. Not sure what shipping is, but you get a cover, and it's straight from the manufacturer. I bet they don't have a lot, so decide quickly.

eta - these appear to be somewhat different than the Mini I had. Mine had exchangeable backs.

Looks like old stock to me, too. Trying to hang on to my old one, praying for a newer model to come out. I love it so much that I just may buy another for the better battery.

Looks like $7 shipping to GA, USA.

If that new non-removable back is covering up a brand new battery, then this might be a very nice deal. A three-year old ereader is not a problem, but a three-year old battery?

I bet it's new stock, and not old; the screen is described as Pearl E-ink. The old model had a Vizplex screen.

Anyway, i bought one.

I'm buying one, my mini has served me well through boring meetings. But the screen upgrade would be a welcomed change and I'm certain my battery will start failing soon.
Just wish they had the white again, it was so nice to hide behind papers.

Anyone see any resolution specs for this?

Going from viziplex to pearl screen sould have whiter screen for better contrast.
