Kindle Voyage 5.6.5 recent sorting broken

I just updated to version 5.6.5 it is jailbroken after the upgrade.

When I sort All Items by Recent and open a book that is 4'th in the list it should jump at the top of the list.

When I navigate back to the list, it's still 4th. When I open KUAL or a Collection it moves to the top of the list.

Has anyone experienced this problem or am I the only one? The sorting worked correctly in 5.6.2.1.

If I do a factory reset, will it remove the jailbreak?

DO NOT DO A FACTORY RESET

First, set the date/time.
The 5.6.x series firmware has a pop-up panel for that, somewhere in the settings menu tree.

If that makes no change to the behavior - post back here.
Do not do a factory reset, you will only complicate matters.

Got the sorting fixed, thank you for the quick advice.

I set a new time from the menu (no date was possible to set) and it didn't work.

I briefly connected my Kindle to wifi and run sync. Then the sorting got fixed (I think it changed the date)

As to how I got to the state where recent sorting didn't work was:

1. Registered my kindle (fw. 5.6.2.1)
2. Disconnected wifi
3. Upgraded to fw 5.6.5
4. Serial jailbreak device

I was planning to never connect my Kindle to the internet again. Had a nasty auto fw upgrade on my PW1

The semi-colon is part of the 'dump messages' command.

Open one of the just created log(book)s -
The left most pair of numbers are:
YYMMDD:HHMMSS

Right! They could have made looking up what date is set a bit easier.

Should work on all "5.6.x" firmwares.

That will let you use your Wifi again.

Once your comfortable with that - -
Install KUAL and the date/time setting button.
That uses the international ntp network, rather than Amazon.
I.E: It will (**should**) work even if you have the BBB (Block Big Brother) firewall installed and enabled.

PS: Let me know if that ntpdate extension works on 5.6.5 -
I might have to update it.

You don't need connect to internet to update the date.
You may set the date and time by typing in the search box:

The ;st searchbar command... or if you are already jailbroken, you can do the same with KUAL+kterm and the standard
