From Papewhite 2 to Paperwhite 3

I'm sure this has been discussed, so if someone could point me to a link, that would be great.... or if you could tell me how much of a difference there is between the two, that would be great. I have the PW2 but, i just like the latest!

I suggest you wait. There are rumors that there may be new Kindle models due out sometime in November.

The main difference is that the PW2 has a 212ppi screen and the PW3 has a 300ppi screen.

If you have a PW2, I wouldn't recommend upgrading to a PW3. I moved from an ereader with a 166ppi screen to the PW3, and while there was an improvement, it wasn't as great as I'd expected. I doubt you'd notice the difference at all.

If you have the spare cash, save it up for the next update, or the one after that. Or spend it on ebooks!

I have both PW2 and PW3 and honestly I am struggling to see any difference. The most visible one is screen backlight - on PW3 is more white, while on PW2 tad warmer. I am not sure if it is improvement, warmer looks somehow better (it canbe personal preference though).

PW 2 has a Longer Battery Life. IF you read a LOT that could make a difference to you.

Your loss. I don't think the PW3 is worth it if you already own a PW2. And given that there could be a PW4 in November, getting a PW3 now is not a good idea.

Funny - Mine was the exact opposite. The PW3 is much warmer. Regarding the DPI, I only saw a difference with the light dimmed all the way down. When the light was on max, I really didn't notice a difference in resolution. I upgraded to the PW3 as I was also sent my PW2 in for a trade in and am expecting $72.xx... So for about $20 I upgraded..
