I'm reading them for the first time. Now about 70% into The Potter's Field, book #17. I plan to read through the rest of the series by year end. Very much enjoying them and will be sad when I've read #20.

Next up, a Bill Slider mystery from Cynthia Harrod-Eagles. I was poking around the Kobo site, coupon in hand, when I noticed that there were two of them I hadn't read. Needless to say, I took care of that little problem. | |

Which was OK, some good, some not so good. Next was Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine for December 2015. Disappointing. Far too many of the stories were more fantasy than SF, and edging towards literary Fantasy at that. More what I'd have expected in the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Next up: Not sure. |

I'm reading A Stranger in Olondria. I'm only 10% in but I am loving it. The language and descriptions are gorgeous. I hate describe a book by referencing other books like this but I think you could say it is a bit of a combination of Wizard of Earthsea and Two Years in the French West Indies by Lafcadio Hearn with some David Copperfield thrown in? |

Finished reading The Potter's Field while I was out at lunch. Stopped by the library to pick up Sonoma Rose (Jennifer Chiaverini, #19 in Elm Creek Quilts) and saw that the latest No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency book was available, so I picked up The Woman Who Walked in Sunshine and immediately started reading it. I should finish tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on how much time I get to spend reading it. |

I picked Sharpe's Prey by Bernhard Cornwell. The fifth in his series about Richard Sharpe, soldier. 5/5 again. An excellent story. Poor old Sharpe! Cornwell doesn't half put him through the wringer! I'm exceedingly pleased that I picked this lot up back in October and December 2013 when they were on special offer. October 31st: Dominion by Fred Saberhagen. The fifth in his series about Dracula. |
