You do realize that you should be running 8.901 before posting a bug report because 8.7 is now obsolete and any fixes are for 8.901. So please try this again with 8.901and if it still happens, then report it as a bug and if not, report that it is no longer a bug.

Not sure what you mean by "cuts out."
Also ... how are you "putting this in a new css"? Do you mean pasting? As JSWolf mentioned, we are currently at v0.8.901 (and getting ready for 0.9.0). If you're going to stick with an older version of Sigil, I'd go with 0.8.6 -- as 0.8.7 had known issues. Either way, it's not likely that there's going to be any more versions or bugfixes in the 0.8.x line. Please do let us know if the problem persists in the current version. Hi,
Again you are being much much too vague for us to say anything. You can do a screen capture of what you are seeing and post it as an attachment to your posts (just make sure they are not too big) if you think it might better explain things. Kevin |

Do you perhaps have some kind of extra clipboard management software running that might be interfering? |

just take an epub, save. set new css file and put in css entries; and save. close sigil and restart. problem will show up when you go to css file.
am using sigil 8.7 on windows 7 home problem has shown up when pasting in css file or doing it by hand. scroll bar will not go all the way down to below span.bold entry; unless press enter to move css entry. this } is almost fully visible when scroll bar stop. found same problem when going to untouched epub book, adding blank stylesheet. Pasting in all of the new css entries and saving. then restarting sigil and going to css file. |

Hi,
Just tried it on Mac with the latest build and no problems whatsoever. So this is something specific to Windows or more likely your machine. Have you changed the size of default fonts or played with fonts used inside Sigil (not your ebook) in some way? Go to Sigil Preferences and look at Appearance. Then look at the CSS / Code View area and see what font you are using and what font size. Does changing this setting have any influence on what you are seeing? KevinH Quote:

You are saying this is a only GUI (failure to grow on a large paste) flaw?
Have you done a Save? Did it grow then? Does the CSS span.bold work? To be honest, I use Files: ADD (existing) for more than a snippet of CSS code. This looks like a 'house' css, so why not use that method. BTW I have use Sigil 8.7 on W7pro and W10 and not had anything like that happen |

Please try changing Consolas to Courier or Courier New and let me know if that changes anything. There have been many reports of bugs in the Consolas font causing many display issues but strangely only for some and as far as I know, no one has ever tracked it down.

I've experienced this weird display issue before (but on a much older version of Sigil). I haven't seen it for a long time, but it's definitely a font or some some device-specific thing.
