Until such time as there is a "crash report" tag, the Sigil mods will be happy to accept them wrapped in either code tags OR spoiler tags. There's a little wiggle-room here since a crash report is technically neither of those things..

Argh!

Somehow after selecting the posts to move to a new thread across two pages, only 1 post made it and I can't find out what I did to all of the remainder! I did not delete them. So somewhere, there is a "merged" thread of about 14 posts flying around but I can't find it.

So if some moderator has a free moment, can you tell me where the other 14 posts went and move them to here.

I think you merged them all into one post, rather than one thread. At least, this post has been edited by you, adding a lot of material.

Hi Paul,

Okay, I now know what happened. The posts I wanted to move crossed two pages. I selected all of the posts on the first page and made sure it said "move" at the bottom and then went to the second page and selected some more and then submitted it. It seems, when I moved pages, my "move" became a "merge" and so all of the 14 got merged into BetterRed's post in some condensed form. I then was able in a second step to move it to a new thread.

I should be more careful when doing things over multiple pages to make sure my setting for what to do does not change from "move" to "merge".

This is the second time I have messed up. There must be a curse or something!

When you reload the page (move to the next page) the posts are still selected (probably set in a cookie).
But the current option in the dropdown is not -- it will default to the first option (merge posts).

I select all posts first, and then try to perform an action.
