Do you have the column browser switched on? If you sort by Album, and have the "Artist" column set to "All Artists", you should see all the tracks even if they are by different artists.

So now on top of Game Center harassment, I've got upgrade harassment too, with constant reminders to upgrade to 9.1 and no "no thank you" button, only "remind me later".

If you don't intend to install the upgrade, I believe you can remove it from the "Settings/General/Software Updates" page.

Regarding iTunes--the one thing that drives me crazy is that each time I upgrade, it insists on changing the interface from the way I've customized it to display to how Apple thinks it should be displayed. Then, I to figure out how to change the view back to what I want.

And now my old iPhone 4s, which I still use at home for music, is helpfully offering to uninstall some apps so that I can upgrade (presumably they will be reinstalled after the upgrade). Anybody tried installing iOS 9 on an iPhone 4s? I never installed iOS 8 because I heard it was very slow on this model. |

I upgraded and so far I haven't had the Game Center nag me once to sign in. The only reason I use iTunes is to back up my iPad and load my books, I don't let it anywhere near my music.

How do you load your music onto your iPad without using iTunes, as a matter of interest? |

It doesn't appear to change anything. I have to go into the info for each album and mark it as multiple artists. Just did this for Johnny Cash's American IV.

I use mediamonkey if I want music on my iPad or iPod, but I usually use my galaxy S5 for music on the go because of the Sd card.

I've had the Game Center nag after upgrading to 9.1 on my Sudoko game--but after three nags it hasn't nagged me again. Fingers crossed that I won't see it again!

I do not play games so I guess it understands that. I have not even seen a Game Center pop up

Just installed 9.1 on my iPhone 6. My first email notification after the upgrade did play a sound! We'll see if that was just a fluke... ![]() I see that a new "News" app has appeared in 9.1, which appears to collect news stories from various different sources. |

The US had the News app already. It is ok for a first attempt. It doesn't pull enough from a variety of sources for what I selected There are third party apps that can do the same thing.

I have worked in the industry a long time and the one thing I have learned if Apple or Microsoft or any other company provided everything that was needed for a device or computer there would be the ones to sue and say that the company was over stepping their bounds. So they do the basics and let third parties do the rest. I find that to be the best all around solution. Microsoft, Google, Apple, and Linux should provide the best OS possible and let the third party developers provide the applications, this in the over all scheme of things will lead to the best for the customers.
And I believe that all four of this companies make a product that is good for what they are. But I have found that Apple does better in the sense that the only create the OS for their own hardware so most of the time it just works better. Microsoft has to create for a world of hardware and it does a good job but never to its best. Google had done a reasonable job with android and for a while I said it was great but it just has not proven to be so. Linux is a great server solution but, and a good desktop as long as you do not have to work with third party providers like Microsoft does. So I say pick your poison. And now that I am retired I believe that I have found it with IOS and Linux. |
