I have been using calibrecompanion on my phone for some time now and now after I upgraded to a new reader Boyue T62D I have started using it on my reader as well. Previously I had a nook touch with an old version of Android where most apps didn't work so I only used Coolreader. And as the developer of Coolreader had nook touch he put in the ability to change the screensaver to the last opened book. Now that I have started using calibrecompanion and have multiple apps for different formats. I can't see a way for the current book cover to be set as a screen saver unless it is done by the app that I use to open all my books I.E calibre companion. Now comes my request will it be possible for calibre companion to set the screensaver when a book is opened with calibre companion. For my reader you need to make SdCard\ScreenSaver\Standby.png does not matter if the file is a jpeg just naming it to Standby.png works. I know all readers might not use the same setting but as far as I know boyue Android readers do and they are most sold Android ereaders. You can maybe add different options for different readers if other readers require some other settings. |

Thanks for your reply and tip with regards to the multiple directories. Your OTG link idea would work I think. However I can't root the phone. That would break Good for Enterprise which I have to use to access company email and calendar. I know there are some proposed work arounds, but I am too cowardly to risk it. For your OTG experiments. You should know, that in my experience, this is in the realm of experimental science. A lot depends on the quality of the cable, and in any case it either works or it doesn't. Sometimes trying it multiple times while rebooting the device (reminds one of Windows) makes it work. For an external hard drive, a separate power connection is a must, and it should be powered up before connecting the OTG cable. |

Is it possible to add a menu item in book details to Clear Default Reader Apps? Since it's now buried in the condensed settings menu it's more of a pain to get to. I'm also usually in book details when I want to switch, so for me it's a convenient place for it.

YEAH! I'm looking into changing the lock screen image in my phone, and I was thinking of copying all cover images and moving them around as I'm reading.

I normally use Moon+ but it has problems with following CSS properly. When I come upon something that looks especially strange, I'll check other readers to see if they look better. I like the mini status bar Moon+ gives and haven't found another reader that gives me the same info. Others that can are just as bad with the CSS problems. I have just been reading problem books lately I guess.

My tablet is at home right now and I'm not. Could this be tied to a long-press on the "read" button maybe? Cheers, Simon. | |

I had an idea today that I wanted to suggest. I was at the movie the Martian and there were about 25 minutes of trailers. Three of the trailers were based on books that I happen to have in my book library. I know this because I browsed through my library and checked while the trailers were playing (never during the movie). When I got home, I would only remember one of the three books. What I was thinking was that it would be nice if there was a way in CC to see the most recent book detail pages I had opened. This could be done with a new sort called "Date Viewed" or perhaps a menu item called "Recently Viewed". The menu item might be a little better, because its more a stand alone action (what books have I recently looked at) then a new sort I might want to apply for an extended time. Either way would be a nice addition. Thoughts? |

Is it possible to scroll up or down the books list or covers list using the volume up and down buttons? Or side buttons like in eink readers, boyue or onyx for example.

Hi Chaley, could you add open with option? for example: normal tap - open with default app, long press - detail view, double tap - open with menu (all installed apps specified for this kind of file) .
