I copy javase embedded to kindle root file system, after reboot,it couldn't go into the graphic user interface, and what a too terrible thing is that I reset kindle to factory,so I lost the /mnt/us/usbnet folder,it make me couldn't control my kindle anyway......Now I need the /mnt/us/usbnet folder, then I will be able to attempt to start usbnetwork and repair my kindle,Is there anybody can share that folder with me? My kindle is kindle 3 keyboard with wifi, thanks for all.

@NiLuJe will correct me if I'm wrong but I think that USBNetworking hack had some files on hidden Kindle memory and you resetting you Kindle to factory setting probably deleted those files also, so copy of /mnt/us/usbnet folder will not be enough to have fully funtional USBNetwork/ SSH access working.
And you will probably have to repair/debrick your Kindle using Kubrick. But better just wait for @NiLuJe to notice this thread, he will confirm my guess (or not), and tell you how you should proceed. While you're waiting go ahead and connect you Kindle to wall charger to fully charge it's battery. |

So of course, it can only reset those things known about at the factory. Your only practical choice now is to use Kubrick on it. That will re-load a complete, known good, image. It will take Kubrick 2 to 3 hours to re-load the entire image. While waiting, repeat to yourself: "Modifying the root file system is not a good idea." Keep repeating that until the re-loading is complete. Last edited by knc1; 10-10-2015 at 10:42 AM. |

As knc1 said, a factory reset won't harm the USBNet hack if you restore the usbnet folder manually after the fact.
If you don't have a backup, just grab the latest snapshot, it contains a copy of it. Unpacking an update package with KindleTool is also an option (the recommended one, in fact, for K4 & PW2/PW3/KT2/KV owners, in order to get the right set of binaries). |

maybe u can get a backup from "hipda"
if your kernel need repair, u probably have to debrick your Kindle using kubrick, just like shamanNS said. As NiLuJe said Unpacking an update package with KindleTool to get the roomfs.img, u need a linux system just like unbunt or rehl. Actually, using Kubrick maybe more easy to solve your problem |

You had better take a look at the KindleTool postings again. NiLuJe builds it for everything except True64 on Alpha. |
