Do you have a piggy bank with more than one compartment, or do you mark the lost and found coins so that you can separate them later?

Very funny!

If those dollars have a picture of Washington on the front, then those are obviously mine. That should be sufficient proof to you that I lost an undisclosed amount of money.

Huh .... I had about $300 in bills (paperclipped together by denomination) fall out of my wallet the other day in town when I got out of my car. I ran my errands, was shocked to see that I had no cash ... I always have cash ... and three hours later when I came back to my car ... there it was just sitting there on the blacktop.

I once found several thousand dollars sitting in a Las Vegas show. When the house lights came up, there it was just sitting at my feet. I couldn't figure out how one would turn in "lost money" in Vegas (I mean ... really??), so I kept it.

I know .... I'm evil. But, my rule of life is "anything that falls on the ground is mine."

DG, I doubt that money on the ground is any "dirtier" than mone from a cash register (at least as far as germs are concerned) and in fact may even be cleanerdue to rain, sunlight, grinding on the concrete, etc.

Good places to always check out are; the take out windows at fast food places, convenience stores like 7-11, as well as shopping malls (and of course the floors at Las Vegas).

Look out for the old silver coins. The silver content is worth quite a bit more than the face value despite the relatively low silver price at the moment.

That was my point. Money, where-ever you get it, is truly filthy stuff.

Germ-wise.

Doesn't stop me from picking up coins from the ground....

We always roll our change. At the end of the year, it makes for a nice little surprise.

If you're still talking coins, the undisclosed amount of money is zero. No dollar coins have Washington on them....

Factoid: Coins are most often free of germs, although they may be dirty or greasy. Germs don't stick to the metal very well. Paper bills are wretched. I remember a while back reading that 80% of $20's had fecal matter. Are people eating their money or something?
