What guys at the repair place do?
I thinks you need to open back cover and re-seat the display cable.

I agreee with pdurrant - I don't think the screen is necessarily your issue. Most of the time things like your screen is showing is other parts of the electronics (i.e. a controller) rather than the screen itself. You might be better to buy a device with a broken screen and using the guts of it and your screen.
