That is what I thought too, except with the PW1. The selling point why my wife had to have one (and then of course one for me too) was the flush screen. No more cat hair stuck between screen and bezel. Maybe I will skip this year and see what the 3rd incarnation of Voyage has to offer over #1.

Since that ain't happening, they keep hoping Kindles turn into (less buggy) Kobos. Which would take away any reason for people to buy Kobo and put them out of business. Not exactly good.

Rumors are they will release new Kindle Fire tablets with 10 inch. In that case I can save my money. |

New Fire TV. All with Alexa. Plus a cheapie 6in tablet, probably without. They're staking out a home automation stronghold before the other big players even get started. Edit: The pics and specs are out: http://the-digital-reader.com/2015/0...how-up-online/ They're going low end, apparently. With the tablet market under pressure from convertible WinTabs it is probably safer. I'm a tad skeptical about the GUI in the pics. Looks like a photoshop job; a generic android launcher with no icons for Silk or the proprietary Apps. Last edited by fjtorres; 09-16-2015 at 10:10 AM.

...I could find after that expensive purchase that I might be in the same boat as Branch Delay. No, I'll wait until the price for devices with haptic page turns comes down to a more reasonable level before taking the plunge.

I very much like the haptic sensors, although it took a little while to find the optimum level of sensitivity and haptic feedback to suit me (adding a case meant that I had to increase the feedback level - the case absorbs a lot of the vibration).

Can we not simply accept that different features are important to different people? It's not wrong to have different priorities to somebody else.

Can I recommend you not read about rainbow unicorn tattoos and guns as foreplay in the tub. Silly Kindle decided to swim. Unfortunately it sank. Not sure if it was the water or the temperature of the water but it could not be revived. So yes accidents do happen. |
