Making lists of items I still need to buy and shouldn't forget to pack before going to Krakow in just over a week.

Today my sister and will sit down and decide what we want to do. I will have to take care my sister, who is in charge of the itinerary this time, doesn't plan too much in a day. I know from experience that she has a tendency to plan 3-4 things a day, whilst I like to also have unplanned time to do something spontaneous.

Apparently they are quite civil to their humans. I have some asshole neighbors that sneak onto the property periodically, I'm looking forward to a couple of good goose corrections. Also I quite like the thought of them getting the grass that the horses can't or won't eat

Hey, you know what's fun, kk? Look a goose in the eye, bend low, and spread your arms out to your sides. Geese love that.

Seriously, I'd like a pair of geese myself, but I'd need a bigger fence.

Acquired 2 pots of miniature mums (bright yellow blooms in one pot, pink & white in the other pot) for the back steps ... probably getting 2 more tomorrow - they do brighten up the place!

My son had a very memorable goose experience when we lived in Germany. I swear that bird was close to 6 foot fully stretched up

Years ago, the local retailer of used auto parts traded his junk yard dogs for peacocks. Apparently, they are quite indignant of trespassers without all the lethal bloodshed.

Backing up the photos on my camera's SD card to both my computer and an external HDD. I'm also trying to decide which books I want to put on my Kindle for the trip to Krakow next week. Having seen my sister's itinerary I don't think I'll have much time to read except during the travel days. My sister suffers from what I like to call travel-narcolepsy; she can doze off immediately after sitting down in the train/bus/car/airplane and not wake up until we arrive at our destination.

It's great for her, but not so much for the person(s) she's travelling with. I always make sure I have enough reading material (Kindle and magazines) and maybe a puzzle book, depending on how long the flight/ride takes.

Next week we're going to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau. It's about 1.5 hours by bus or train, so that's another 3 hours or uninterrupted reading for me.
