I'll probably skip the iPhone 6S upgrade as well. I upgraded to the iPhone 6 plus last year after breaking my iPhone 5S, otherwise I would have waited for the 6S.

It sounds like the major Apple Watch upgrade is the operating system rather than the hardware.

I'm definitely looking forward to the Apple TV. It's priced low enough to be more or less an impulse buy for me and it's a pretty major upgrade from the current model. I'm not sure if you can upgrade the current model to use the new controller or not. I really like the ability to use Siri and the touch control, plus you can play games if that is your thing. If it matches the demo, it should have a lot of the same search capabilities as Tivo. "Hey Siri, show me the episode of Gunsmoke with Burt Reynolds" and then select from the list of episodes that come back. That's pretty cool.

They compared the weight to the original iPad, both it and the Pro are about the same weight.

I wonder if this will have mass appeal. I already find the regular ipad too big and clunky. I kind of wish I had gotten the mini instead. It will be interesting to see what the OS is like. Is it the same as iOS9?

As is, the Pro 3 is still way ahead of the iPad Pro.
There probably were a lot of smiles at MS today.

(At Amazon, too. re: Fire TV, which is outselling the Apple TV and has had the "new" features since day one.)

They don't want to waste the resources needed to ship a stylus in every box when they know people are either not going to use it, or have their preferred stylus already. It's the same thing with the keyboard.

Like someone else said, it doesn't have an eraser, and there are no buttons. At that price, you can get a stylus that does. A lot of people aren't going to like typing on that keyboard either.

They probably KNOW that a lot of people won't buy the iPad Pro. But there's still a lot of money to be made with the people who will.

The problem with the iPad Pro is that it seems it runs iOS.

You *can* be productive with iOS, maybe... but the ability to run a full desktop environment is still something many will want to see. Including the corporate market...

That much Microsoft got right (eventually). The current crop of Windows tablets run plain old Windows Desktop, and you can use the wealth of applications that have been available for a long, long time. It is the convenience of a tablet form-factor wrapped around the same laptops that have been serving people so well for so long.

An iPad Pro running iOS will require people to evolve in order to be as productive as they were with a MacBook. At best.

The 4 is due in Oct, the iPad Pro in Nov.
If it's coming, it's in production.
If it's not coming, the 3 is still more capable.

The key to the Corporate environment is in-house client Apps.
Those run on Windows.
On Oracle.
On SQL.
Any of those run on iOS?

It is a bigger iPad.
It might be faster than the small iPads.
It might even be useful for some individuals in business.
But corporate IT? Those people take years to switch Windows versions!
Switching to a new OS?

Really?
I'm not holding my breath.
