Thanks. I'm having trouble with Elysian Fields again. Now all the ratings has disappeared. I can still see them on the website but they don't get collected in Calibre.

I haven't changed anything in my personal.ini, this is what I have in my replace metadata section:

    rating=>Adult Only=>Adults Only
    rating=>NC-17=>Adults Only
    rating=>R=>Mature
    rating=>PG-13$=>Teen
    rating=>PG$=>Older Kids
    rating=>G$=>Kids

I'm getting errors downloading a couple of stories from fimfiction. Here's a log of the stories I couldn't get and also a couple others that came through just fine, for comparison:

I'm not sure how to interpret the "src" error. I don't know if it's just a typical case of something on the site changing and breaking FFF's parser or if it might be something on my end.

I searched this thread, the old thread and the FAQ and didn't turn up anything, so any advice would be appreciated.

That's the down side of an eFiction Base adapter--it only collects data that appears on the print page and dark-solace.org doesn't include story rating on the print page:

I suggest asking the site admins to add rating to the printable story page--it's probably an oversight that it isn't.

It looks like it's an issue with the 'corner case' handling where there's a 'medium' version of the cover image, but not a 'large' version. Because it's an unusual case, it may have changed on the site some time ago.

I've posted a test version with a fix. (direct link)

Something else has happened with Elysian Fields. Whenever I add a new story or update and old one, the authors link doesn't link me to the authors page but to my own page.

Is that another consequence of the new version of the site?

Interesting. That's actually a bug in the eFiction Base code. It's been using sid instead of uid in author URLs. Good catch.

Also, when I add a story from Elysian Fields and then a story from the same author from SpuffyRealm it changes the Author URL.

That's a calibre thing--it stores the author URL in an author table that's separate from the list of books. So the author's URL will be updated with each download. And if they come from different sites, it will change for all books by that author.

There isn't any particularly good solution.

You can use replace_metadata to make the author name different for the two different sites.

You could add your own custom column for author URL.

On the FanFicFare config tab for 'Standard Columns' there's a checkbox at the bottom for setting the author URL that you can turn off.

Worst case, there's still the author URL inside the ebook.

Hmmm...

It seem that MediaMiner.org has changed the the layout and broken FFF...

MM.org is changing its face and as part of the process the site had to be moved to a new server.
It's possible that some of the features won't work as normal, if you have any incoveniences you can write us an email with your problem at webmaster@mediaminer.org

to me it seems that FFF drops the "/617459" from the url.

Please fix it.

They have made changes? Or they are currently making changes?

I'd rather wait until a while until they are done making changes so we don't end up fixing it several times.

My Understanding is, that they HAVE made the changes.
If I read that in the Forum correctly, they have done that sometime in July.
