I received an update on the Cover-Up hemp cover. There is still no foreseeable date as to when the working covers will be on the market. I feel pretty sure now that they have no plans to make a functioning cover, at least not until all their stock of the non-wake/sleep covers are sold. Well, no biggie. I am a little disappointed I would like my cover to have the sleep/wake function because I really like the cover. I do have the Kobo cover but still choose to use the Cover-Up.
For those of you who don't remember, these were originally meant to have the wake/sleep function but it turned out the manufacturer put the magnets in the wrong spot so that function did not work. The Cover-Up people were pretty cool about it, offering either a refund or a discount. They also offered me the option of keeping this one and then they would send me a replacement when the new working covers came out.

I was very disappointed with Cover Up over the whole situation. I actually returned mine unused as I wanted the sleep wake. I waited two months then had to get a refund. They lost a customer over the fiasco. I'll never buy a case from then now for any device.

Did you ever have problems with the sleep/wake function? I know quite a few other people at the beginning, did they end up fixing them to work properly when the cover was folded back?

No, I've never had a problem with the sleep/wake function on any of the Gecko Slimfit covers I've bought - 3 to be precise (Glo, Aura6", Aura H2O).

I've finally got around to taking some photos of my Gecko waterproof Gold cover. I really like it and the tab doesn't bother me, it's very soft and can be tucked between the back and the front if you want, when the cover is folded back. Its been splashed in the bath already and it was perfectly fine.

Very nice! Thank you for sharing the pics. Is the inside part made of rubber?

Don't remember seeing cover with short hinge. Gap between at bottom between front and back with cover open can make holding more secure and easily to hold.

What is the water proof material of this cover. No geckos were used to make this cover?

I don't know what the material used is but the outside is very smooth and the inside feels rubbery,

There are a lot of case designs for the H2O that are similar to the Fintie case. The Gecko is one such similar design.

does this type of wear also occurs at the non-hemp version which can be bought here:

?

and are there any guides where and how to implement such metal/magnetic yourself?

Has anyone heard anything from Cover-up about when they will have the hemp covers with sleep/wake function? On my original kindle then nook glowlight I had covers from javoedge that were a rough cloth that I absolutely loved and wanted to get something similar for my h2o. Also, did anyone that bought one of the hemp covers that had the magnet in the wrong place manage to successfully put a new magnet in it?

I have not heard a thing. I think their plans to fix the problem, if they had any, have been shelved or put on hold indefinitely. I did experiment with putting a magnet on myself but it did not work out very well. The top of the cover shifts about just enough to keep waking the tablet up when the cover is closed, and the magnet I used must have been too strong because if I folded the cover back behind it would put the book to sleep. I have learned to live with using the button.

I still think it is a great cover, and I like it enough to keep using it even though I have the official Kobo sleep cover.

Quick question - just got an Aura H20 and looking for a good, preferably slim cover.
Are there any other waterproof ones apart from Gecko?

Amazon and ebay seem to come up with the same option - the PU leather with the metal clasp, and I was hoping for something a little more contemporary. I had a Javoedge one for my (RIP) ex-kindle but can't find anything like it for the Kobo.

All suggestions very welcome
