i have to admit though, on a purely sociological level they are fascinating. when the coupe du monde was in paris and france won (10 years or so ago, i forget exactly) i discovered what it must have been like at the liberation of paris at the end of the war (not even joking).

Textile arts - I like that

One of the magazines I get calls that sort of thing "art to wear" or "wearable art" - both of which I think sound a bit clumsy.

I hear they are, but I'm drowning in them. All my great-great aunts quilted and some how a boatload ended up with my mother. My sister don't have room for them, so I have 20-25 of them....

Being a rank senimentalist, I can't let go of the family history...

Would you like pink, or purple?

He he j/k. Really though? I would have just sent it to you, but I can't pass up getting someone to donate to a good cause

Here are my chevron scarves, which everyone seems to love. The black one is extra long. You can see the pattern better on the silvery one. Very soft fabric.

Dear Lord I hope you have family to pass them down to. Are they documented, that is, do they have labels?
Just tell me you aren't storing them in plastic bins or bags......
