I would upgrade my W7 PC if I knew what caused the blue screen crashes. It was happening on iTunes and that's far too important a program for me not to have it working properly. The last thing I want to do is start playing around with drivers and bugger up my W7 PC when there really isn't any need.

There's now a printable list of all Win 10 keyboard shortcuts available for download from MS here It's in docx format, with a bit of tidying up, it fits nicely on 1 page (I just copied and pasted the table into a new document, made it 2 columns and rearranged the margins
![]() Edit: for screenshots, the win key + prnt scrn obviously doesn't work on the SP3 (and I assume all other Surfaces since there's no prnt scrn key on the type cover) - for us, that shortcut is still Fn + Win key + Spacebar Last edited by Yolina; 08-26-2015 at 04:17 AM. |

My laptop runs beautifully with Win 10. My much newer PC crashed at least once a day (bug check reboots, IQRL not less or equal, etc.) which probably are driver related (my Nvidia driver?). Since my PC ran with no crashes with Win 7, I downgraded today (which I think is my 30 day deadline to do so).
I still have a year to upgrade if I decide to. Hopefully MS will fix the driver issues which seem to have plagued my PC running Win 10. |

75 million minus 1 if I can get the stupid revert feature to work!
I decided to revert to 8.1 on my main machine until 10 matures a bit, but the rollback option ist working. It SAYS it's going to work, and it restarts my machine, But it just restarts back in 10. Any one have an idea what might be wrong? ETA: A system restore back a few days fixed that problem. I'm back on 8.1, now facing hours of reinstalling all the stuff I installed in the few days that the system restore set me back. I'm going to go back through this thread and learn how to remove that stupid Win 10 reminder now! OK, that's my Windows 10 news. Last edited by ApK; 08-26-2015 at 11:51 PM. |

I've been using Windows 10 now for two weeks with no problems other than the taskbar and menu sometimes not working on left clicks.

A few updates KB3081448, KB3081449 and KB3081452 And since MS no longer bother with release notes, no-one knows what they do

At least they don't appear to have broken anything on my SP3 (yet), I suppose that's always something

I have now uninstalled the nagware / malware update 3 times, and every time MS does an update, it checks to see if that specific update is on my PC, and if not, re-instals it.
What do you have to do to get rid of this for good? Launch a lawsuit?? |

Well, you could always uninstall Windows... I haven't gotten the nag.
Other than that, well, I don't think you will have much luck battling MS from within *their* operating system. Apparently MS has gotten around the "hide updates" feature. ![]() Last edited by eschwartz; 08-28-2015 at 03:16 AM. |

After you uninstall the update, go to Windows update and check for updates. When the Windows 10 update appears, right-click on it and chose 'Hide Update'. It then will not reinstall unless you unhide it.

All I have to say is that I love windows 10, I have been doing the insider preview, and about every other week I get a new build to play with it just seems to get better and better.

Has anyone upgraded a smaller 10" screen netbook to Windows 10 where you had to force the screen resolution to something higher since Windows 10 won't install if screen resolution is below 1024x768. My netbook is 1024x600 and I can force the update if I do the hack to force a higher screen res, but I don't want to live with it that way forever.
After you update to Windows 10, are you able to then set the screen resolution back down to the original for the small screen? |
