Amazon Prime "No Rush Shipping" changes - Page 18

Prime no-rush shipping credits are again $1 and can be used to purchase select e-books, digital music, and video rental.

The latest $1 credits expire November 14, 2015.

Today, I was offered nothing to choose "No Rush Shipping". Has it gone away? The pantry idea was terrible.

In the UK I'm still being offered a £1 credit for no rush shipping. I'm sure some incentive will be back at Amazon US very soon, otherwise why would anyone ever choose it?

It was offered to me yesterday, but unfortunately, I don't remember what it was offering me in return because I just glanced over it.

I just checked on an item costing $1.79 and I was offered the $1 no-rush shipping credit. So I went ahead and got it.

Are you sure the item was Prime shipping eligible? Did it cost at least a buck?

issybird, I was even more surprised because it was several items and one was an "Add-on" item. I was still offered Prime Two Day, and the delivery date is on Sunday. Sunday deliveries are special enough, I suppose.

Wow, I'm sorry! I'd rather have the buck. In the past few days, I've ordered six or seven inexpensive items and was offered the credit for each one. I ordered them separately, of course.

I never thought Amazon would discriminate in regard to no-rush shipping. But I've got a discriminatory story of my own; I went into my account to reorder an item that cost me $10 the last time I got it and was not pleased to see that the price had jumped to $15. On a whim, I opened a new, cookie-less browser and searched for the item to learn that Amazon was willing to sell it to the anonymous me for only $9. I of course added it to a cart and then signed in.

Well, greed got Amazon that time. If the price had gone up by only a couple of dollars, I would have shrugged my shoulders and bought it. A 50% increase, however, was pretty rich. I tend to assume that Amazon knows what it's doing most of the time, but this kind of overt discrimination, and people do find out, has to create ill will.

Could it have been a different seller? If it's a reorder, Amazon will show the price from the previous seller, even if in the meantime another seller has a lower price. Whereas if you just search on the item, the result shows the lowest price then available.

No, because I searched on the item once I saw they wanted $15, and the seller to the anonymous me was the same. Sheerest price discrimination because they figured me for a sure sale.

I wasn't offered no rush shipping last night but the item was only $1 after the promo code.

For the first time, I wasn't offered a credit for anything for slow shipping today. The item was $20, so it wasn't because it was cheap. I use the product regularly so I tried upping the quantity to two but still no credit.

Weird...I just tried and was offered a $1 credit for slow shipping on an item that only cost $8.57.
