This isn't a bug, just wondering if you could alter the Cloud connection "book details" page so it has hot links for tags and authors just like the internal "book detail" pages?

I think so, but with a caveat.

For various reasons the back button won't work the way one might expect. When you navigate to a tag from the top-level screen, CC remembers all the computations in the middle so the back button can take you from books-with-tag to the list of tags. Unfortunately, if you tap on a tag in book details then I can show the books with that tag, but tapping back will take you to the outermost top-level display because all the remembered computation is probably wrong. Said another way, the first-letter display and the list of tags will not be available by tapping "back" if you ended up looking at a book list by tapping something in details.

Does this caveat make the feature not worth having?

I think it might inject confusion. I would leave it as is.

Got it. Tapping on something (tag, author, series, etc) in cloud book details takes you to that something. It also computes a "tap" path as if you had navigated to that something from the outermost screen so that "back" works as expected. It will be in the next release

And with that expenditure of brain power dementia was delayed another couple of years.

It's the seemingly small things like this, that make the book details operate virtually the same no matter where we bring it up to view that makes this app a cut above all other apps in the Play store.

Could you do the same for book details when you're just in regular CC?

It already does, at least for me. For example, if in a book I tap the tag "Classics" I see the books with that tag in the main booklist. If I look at the grouping drawer I see the following, which shows the tag I tapped, the first letter, and the group, which is the equivalent of the display hierarchy in the cloud connection.

Are you asking for something different?

I thought you said that when you hit the back button it would work as expected. I would expect to be taken back to where I came from which is book details. I rarely use the links in book details anymore because I can't get back to where I started from.

Ahhh....

By "expected" I meant where I expected to go given what I am looking at, which is the same place I would end up if I had navigated manually to the item. Going back to book details isn't in the cards either for the "standard" details or for the cloud.

If I actually saw the screenprint you showed it wouldn't be so confusing to suddenly end up being sorted by Series. I am normally in portrait mode so I go straight from a list of books in a series to a list of all books ordered by series, which actually means seeing books not in a series first.

Not in the cards is what I remembered from before, so no biggie.
