My guess ? Hopefully at best the internal SD card has died. Frostschulz has two great threads there if you dont get any joy getting it replaced....

Although letting the battery completely die isn't optimal... in your case the last thing I would try is letting the battery discharge completely, then leaving it four-five hours on charge and see if anything happens with reset procedures

I am more modest, I just want a device that keeps the promise of properly working for two years (the warranty period)...

Tried Kobo on Facebook? I only ask as I've heard tell they tend to be a bit better at helping out?

Try dealing with Kobo customer support directly. Whoever you bought it from will probably direct you there anyway. It will no doubt be very frustrating. They will take you through their little help script and get you to try absolutely everything you have already. If they try to blame you and you don't agree with them, persevere and if necessary ask to escalate it to a higher level.

I haven't used the Kindle Voyage, but I actually think the H2O is either first or second in the best ereader stakes. Unfortunately it comes with the built-in disadvantage of possibly having to deal with Kobo Customer Service. Good luck.

Thanks, darryl, I have been through this before, with a previous H2O. They have passed me from Kobo customer to the dealer in Germany and back again. In the end, they didn't help me and I was stuck with the unit...Too bad. But it is a good idea to also write them, alongside the guys at mondadori.
