I was watching "Guardians of the Galaxy" on Starz and it suddenly came to me that the character Ronan looked awfully big/tall, so I googled for the actor playing Ronan which was, of course, Lee Pace. When I noted that he was 6' 5" I googled for images and found the picture i posted which sold me on the idea that he'd make an awfully good Harry Dresden.

I'm not of the opinion that scraggly facial hair somehow looks attarctive or sexy, but the facial hair certainly makes him look right for the part.

Well, I have finally finished it. The story was rather good, I like heist stories. The finale, not so much in my opinion. It felt rushed and a little to easy.

Will I read the other two installments? I am not sure. Based on the story, sure. I am, however, not too keen on his writing skills. His sentences feels wrong sometimes, keeping me from reading at a steady pace. If I can pick the other two parts up for a nice price, I think I will.

That explains it. Didn't know Sam was that tall, I always thought Dean is a bit on the short side.

As alan says, you don't have to have anything incredibly meaningful to say, you can still pop by, demonstrate that the IOC and associated Dresden Fans etc. etc. is still active and interested.

Maybe throw in some speculation or anticipation or something if you feel up to it.




Speaking of which... are you going to read Cinder Spires? If so, do you have your copy pre-ordered (or reserved at the library)? As I said earlier today, there's only 43 days left until the release day.

I'm not really much of a Steampunk fan, which is something that surprises even me. Doesn't mean I won't read Cinder Spires at some point but, no, I haven't pre-ordered or reserved it. I do, however, look forward to reading everyone's impressions when it does release.
