Highlight the books you want to move, right click on them and use the Copy to library submenu.

Thank you both. That is exactly the function I need but had been unable to find. Thanks, Peter

Please mind that the move assumes that both libraries have the same format (columns).

When the libraries differ due to added user columns, the info from the source library gets lost when the target library does not have that same column defined and vice versa. Last edited by DrChiper; 08-13-2015 at 07:05 AM. |

Could you please clarify what Metadata CTL uses. Workflow: Add book to "Intake" Library It seems the destination metadata is now a mix of the books original, and Newly added (fill fields that were blank)I cleanse metadata, cover Copy To Library Is what I am seeing a side effect of the tweaks: # Control how tags are applied when copying books to another library add_new_book_tags_when_importing_books = True |

CTL is the same as an add, except that instead of reading metadata from the ebook file, the metadata that is in the database is used instead.

See New feature: copy books between libraries with all custom metadata Looks like its been there for a while. I have columns in my intake library that are not in my destination libraries so I see the feature every day. BR |

			Ah, I missed that

![]() I did setup the principal layout of my libraries somewhere between 2010 and 2012, and I am still happy as a kid as it still works for me and so I never actually bothered to add any new columns. Otherwise I surely would have encountered that functional addition of 2013. Oh well, thanks for the correction

Forgetting is the privilege of the matured old and wise people to be able to forget all those uninteresting issues which are clogging up one's mind ...

Somehow I seem to happily forget always more and more, so I figure I must become now mature, old and wise at last
