I have been reading Sci Fi longer than any other genre. I started with Sci Fi and have never stopped reading it. When I die they will probably have to pry my book from my cold dead hands.........................and it will probably be Sci Fi.

Same here. SF and Fantasy, too. Well, I read lots of old classics during middle and high school, purely for personal entertainment. But then it was back to SF/F.
That said, I rather liked LeGuin's "The Left Hand of Darkness" and the original Earthsea trilogy (not Tehanu, though). Of course, they're SF/F.
