Of course, it would be easier if Kobo did this for you. I assume they will once they fix the bugs and are convinced it will help a sufficient number of their users. As the feature has been in the firmware for a while, I suspect the latter is the issue.

your right it would be much easier if kobo did this for me, it would save having to mess about with the kepub problem fix.

I think what davidfor is saying is that the reason that Kobo *doesn't* do it for you is because it doesn't work properly, and they don't want to deal with calls from people who are having problems with it.

Presumably the bugs will be fixed someday, and the feature will be fully sanctified and included in the settings by default.

Or it will just be completely removed, and there will be no fullscreen reading at all.
