It happens to me, too. I think the book is converted to kepub succesfully (at least on my device), only didn't rename as .kepub.epub.

OK that's strange, one of the ways I tested was uploading a book to my Aura and my wife's Glo and they went as KePubs. I left it at home and my work day is just starting, chances are I won't have time tonight either, but tomorrow morning on the way to work I'll see what I can find.

Yea, if you could that would be good. I don't think it should matter as long as the option for extended features is selected and the kepub format is enabled...

The same thing happens for me. I only installed new version of the plugin (no settings were changed) and my Aura H2O is seeing new books only as epubs not kobo epubs. With previous version of plugin everything was OK.
The most important settings: kepub is first on the list, epub is second, enable extended kobo features is on, data about series is sent.

Instead of this

if path.endswith(KEPUB_EXT):
    path += EPUB_EXT

You can do it like this

if not path.endswith(KEPUB_EXT + EPUB_EXT):
    path = os.path.splitext(path)[0] + KEPUB_EXT + EPUB_EXT

That should fix the filename problem.

I still however, got some problem with series info and cover images.
None of my book retains the series info and some have no cover images when transferred to my Glo.
Edit:
It turns out, a second connect-disconnect is needed to update the cover and metadata.

These are my options (in Spanish but you can see...), and I 've never checked the kepub format.

BTW, jorguen, in another forum a member has tested the previous version you put in the thread and it has the same problem (I have the davidfor version and it works).

I just tried that but what was created and sent to my reader was a pdf!

I have tried some various things with no luck. Hopefully jgoguen will squash this when he gets the time.

That won't work. What if a format other that epub or kepub is being sent? The older versions of the plugin had some other checks. And that needs a call to the super method.

Oops. I didn't realize that this driver also handles other format as well.
If so, why can't you do it like this?

if mi.uuid not in self.skip_renaming_files:
    if path.endswith(KEPUB_EXT):
        path += EPUB_EXT
    elif path.endswith(EPUB_EXT) and not path.endswith(KEPUB_EXT + EPUB_EXT):
        path = os.path.splitext(path)[0] + KEPUB_EXT + EPUB_EXT

Or, just use the old method:

That seems do the trick in my Glo. The books got sent with the correct filenames (tested with one pdf and one epub files).
