No reaction, or just some reaction after many tries. Most of the time, simply stuck.
Thanks for helping.
Did you try to poke the screen all over the place? If some pokes show a reaction (even an unexpected), try the change I referred to above. This is a problem that concerned only some versions of Kobo Touch.

Whoops, my bad. I somehow failed to notice the word "Touch".

Regardless, I imagine changes would have to be made to the same file(s).

I tried your changes, and they worked great. The "stuck in file manager" issue is solved. Thank you tshering for this.

Unfortunately I had another problem with KOreader. While reading pdf's (happened with two of them) the reader gets seriously stuck in one page.
I did like a lot how KOreader manages pdf files, so I would be happy to make it work.
I wonder if my issue comes from advboot, if this is the case I would try another launcher. If this is without doubt a KOreader issue, I wouldn't take the time to try that.
Please help. Kobo Touch N905C at 3.8.0.

I would doubt that it is a advboot issue since all advboot does is to launch koreader using a script file.

Could be related to the memory leak that was fixed the other day? Are these PDFs that other people can have a look at?

Well it gets stuck with pretty everything, epubs also. I installed second to last (at the time of my post) nightly of koreader. I don't know about the memory leak.
Do I try with the last nightly?
Could you also point me to easy (newbie here) instructions to install koreader with a launcher?

Hm, that's weird. That does sound like an issue with KOReader, but I've experienced nothing of the sort myself.

For the Kobo Start Menu see this post, but I don't know if it plays nice with advboot or whatever.

As they modify the same RcS file, either this or that is installed.

Looks like one of these two issues:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=277

or

https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/1069

or probably both.

Ok, I have installed the Start Menu and Koreader now works great. So, I had some sort of issue with advboot.
I had anyway to fix the Koreader touch coordinates to make it work with my Touch N905C .

Edit: I do have the "unresponsive if left idle for some time" issue, I'll try the fix here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=277

Edit 2: The preventfreeze patch solved my issue. So to sum up:
advboot+koreader+coordinates change doesn't work on my Touch.
KSM+koreader+coordinates change+preventfreeze works like a charm

The sticky install guide in the "Kobo Reader" forum, includes a link to a description of the changes to make, to correct the Touch N905C touch coordinates.

Luck;
Ken

Yes that's what I meant, sorry for not have included the link. That worked well, but I had anyway freeze issues with advboot.

Update to 3.12.1

Cheers
With reflow function, are you refer to Ebri's modification?

Apart from that, here is a mod for work with 3.12.1 (at least on H2O):

Thanks boriar - your update works on Aura HD 3.13.1.

I have also updated it to use the .adds directory instead of the .kobo directory. The .adds directory seems to be the new standard place to put add-ons.

There is no standard place, or if there is, no one told me about it.

I put my mods in /usr/local/<Modname> and user files to /mnt/onboard/.<modname>. Should I switch to /mnt/onboard/.addons/<ModName>?

/mnt/{onboard,sd}/ is no good for long running scripts, since that is to be unmounted any time USB connects, but a script would keep the filesystem busy so it can't be ejected properly...
