Ipad shelves and books to Calibre
Hello,
I managed Ibooks before I had Calibre and since I have several thousand books, I was hoping there is a way to use the names of the shelves to a custom column (or something simular) with books already listed by different shelve/collection? I really don't want to sort them all again. I hope someone can help me with this. ![]() Josette |

![]() Probably no easy direct way. AFAIK iBooks 'shelf' is a proprietary metadata item. Moving metadata between different systems is more-or-less limited to the metadata elements defined in the Dublin Core specs. If you can coerce iBooks into putting the shelf name into "tags" as something like "iShelf - blah blah" then you could use calibres Metadata Search and Replace feature to move the "iShelf..." tags to a custom column, or use those tags as the basis for a set of Virtual Libraries.
