No I didn't. BUT, I note that there are a plethora of WhisperSync versions of Heart of Darkness on Audible, for $0.95 up to about $2.99, assuming you have the matching Kindle book. And the Kindle books are all very inexpensive. The virtue of this option is the choice of narrators. Personally, I'd choose the Frederick Davidson narration which matches up with this Kindle version at $0.99. (But note that more than one Audible version matches with it, so if you care about which narrator you get, buy the Kindle book, and THEN add the Audible version separately. )

It looks to be missing. Adding the length of the individual files and subtracting from the length of the book shows 51 minutes missing.

Thanks. I had the files, but was not where I could check lengths easily. I've emailed their support. Will let you know if they fix it.

And yes, I know other editions exist - I have at least one of them at Audible (where it is marked as a "signature performance" of the unabridged book). I just didn't want to try this one, if there was a missing segment.

Thanks for catching that.

I didn't join the throng of ebook buyers until after Topaz gave way to Kindle mobi. Or, at least, I think that that is what I think that happened. So, I am only vaguely familiar with Topaz. I don't even know if I could recognize it when I see it. I have heard some horror stories about it, though. I need to read up on the whole thing--the Mobileread archives is probably as good a place as any to do that.

UPDATE: The great price on Finch has flown away (ha)--it's now $9.13. I really laid an egg on this post (ha)--it's in the Topaz format and I didn't post it early enough. Sorry to everyone who missed it, who would have wanted it.

I wanted to see what Topaz looked like, but Amazon and/or the publisher apparently didn't provide a preview of this book. Is this sometimes a warning sign that a book might be in Topaz?
