The first new Dr Seuss book in 25 years comes out today.

It was written sometime in 1958-1962 - back when I was first reading Dr Seuss. There are more unpublished manuscripts slated for eventual release.

I'm going to buy this one. For my grand kids, you know? Hard cover is about $10 and the Kindle edition is about $9.50 at Amazon. I'm going to go hard cover for this one.

I used to keep lizards. I had to get rid of them when I got married. I was informed it was an "either/or" situation.

She has brought me 11 so far this year.

And again, if you can't find enough crickets, it would make a nice toy for a kitty. Although a kitty would eat the crickets too.

The cat that lived across the street from my father in law used to bring them things. Old shoes, combs, whatever it could find. One time he told the cat if it was going to bring them things it should bring them money. The next day it dropped a wallet at his feet. Unfortunately it was empty. Nice try though.

I had a friend who once rescued a big ugly mean pit bull who was living feral in the cane fields, she named him "Buddy". Buddy used to bring her coconuts, then she'd give it back to him and he'd lay down and husk and eat it (ever tried to husk a coconut?).

In Hawaii it's custom to not wear shoes in the house so everyone leaves their "rubbah slippahs" (flip flops) on the door step, and buddy would collect them and bring them home. Pitty, he never brought home a pair though, always just half a pair.

The only good animal to have as a pet is a stuffed one.

I just hope that a better job was done completing this 'new Dr. Suess book' than was done in that film adaption of The Cat in the Hat.
