Yes, that can get frustrating. I think it's probably syncing it out to the cloud with each change. i have a lot of collections and a lot of books so I think there is quite a lot of overhead for each change made.

The time lag has nothing to do with the cloud -- it happens when the WiFi is off.
The framework is just slow, especially the more books you have in collections. You can create collections a lot faster using the LibrarianSync hack, which writes directly to the Content Catalog rather than working with the framework -- maybe Amazon should hire barsanuphe!

I am not even going to pretend that I won't be buying the new Kindle model, whatever it turns out to be and whenever it arrives. This is my hobby and I receive immense enjoyment from reading on a new, improved ereader. I figure it's a lot safer and less expensive than going to night clubs and bars to chase women . On top of that my wife accepts my ereader obsession where she said "NO" to the bar and nightclub thing..GRIN.

I've been using the Kindle 4 since 2011 but I've treated myself to a Kindle Voyage this year (picking it up in California soon -- shipped to a cousins house). I'll ride this Kindle model as long as I can.

Ya, a rumor about next gen amazon kindle from a Chinese social site lol
http://weibo.com/1677126244/CrJiMjbx0 It means, roughly, "Undisclosed Kindle By Amazon, revolutionary exterior, the same screen as previous gen kindle but reduced the frame to 60%( similar to that Nano5 to Nano6 ), unsymmetric design, wedge-shaped panel, fitted with the official rechargeable adsorption case. there's a option for the case, rechargeable and solar powered, the material feels like the cardboard, full of technological sense." |

Solar re charging would be the greatest innovation in e readers since front lighting.

It's has to be a parody, I can't imagine Amazon building anything that ugly.
