Correct. That feature is too new, but I wanted to release the older changes. New test version later today.

FYI, I don't recommend copying the entire defaults.ini into your personal.ini like that. It means that changes I make to defaults.ini may be overridden by outdated settings in your personal.ini. Just the changes you make would be better.

Nothing in the drag and drop code has changed. Is it specific link(s), or all links? From all sites? I assume it did work before? Was Chrome updated?

Unfortunately, I don't have a current linux desktop install to test with. I'll see what I can come up with.

I was able to duplicate the issue with a live-cd linux desktop before the entire OS crashed. Twice. And I didn't find a current calibre distro for Raspberry Pi, the other linux-ish hardware I have handy.

But I was able to confirm that other URLs drag and dropped fine. So I'm blaming the unicode chars in the title: hoʻokāne.

The drag and drop event object hands me data in a 'QByteArray' object. I don't know why Chrome on linux is (presumably) including the link text along with the URL, but that's what I speculate is happening.

If you bump into it a lot, I might look at it some more. But as it is, I'm inclined to call it an odd corner case and not worry about it.

FWIW, ArchLinuxArm has the latest version of calibre (I love rolling release distros). It is what I usually recommend for people who want to run calibre on the Pi.

Thank you for checking Don't worry about it It's easy to cirkumvent with copy-paste. At least you know it exsists if somebody else complains.

I did see an error in this one, caused by some additional empty/nested span tags in the story summary. I've added code to deal with that case.

I also saw an error with this one. Somebody else wrote the adapter for spikeluver.com using a different style than most, so I'm not sure why they did some of the things they did. I've 'fixed' it so it doesn't crash, so hopefully that helps.

I've posted a new test version with these fixes (direct link).

I still don't know what's happening with your 'utf8' codec can't decode byte errors. The fact you're now seeing on more than one site suggests it's something specific to your computer or setup. You could try installing a calibre portable version and downloading from there so it's completely separate from your existing setup.

At least spikeluver.com has epub download links you could use instead.

And I can't remove it from the tags in batch.

If you never want Fanfiction added to tags do this:
