I saw a CNN piece that claimed Amazon would have a 40 inch LED TV for 120 tomorrow. There's no link because the deals haven't started, but I guess if you are in need of a TV, you can watch for it.

In case anyone doesn't know, the Fire HD 7 is on sale today for $79 (8 GB) or $99 (16 GB). Only black and white are available at this time and price. Amazon.

Activation means you MUST sign up for phone service!

For those wishing to use this phone as only a mini tablet, don't get this offer. You won't get the free year of Prime membership.

That's part of their big "If you are a prime member" deal, right? I think all the deals are prime member only.

I don't know if anyone cares, but Walmart and Target are both doing big "deals" today to compete. I think Best Buy is joining in on the fun too although I missed that when I did my blog post. Shrug. So if you are looking for something specific, today might be a good day. I saw an offer from Walmart to get free shipping for a year for a 50 dollar price.

No worries. I didn't find anything to convince me--and worse--they took away my wish list to put their big fat ad on the front page so I can't even go check for sales on anything on my list.

Didn't see much at the other stores either. Target kind of buried their ad (there's a lot of clothing, some back to school stuff and I think an extra 10 percent off coupon on anything you order, but I'm not sure if it's ANYTHING or just the sale stuff they are promoting).

FYI, if anyone cares Amazon just added the 6" Fire HD tablet to their sale (only had 7" on discount this morning). Unlike previous sales I've seen, you can get a discount on the 16 GB version. The sale is $20 either the 8 GB ($79) or 16 ($99). Looks to be lots still available, at least for now.

Are you sure about this?

I bought a Fire phone a week ago from Amazon a week ago, and the 'activation' event is when it shipped.

My Fire Phone was never activated; it was registered. If I were to sign up for cell service, then it would have to be activated. Also, this is eBay and not Amazon, so the offers don't have to match.
