Is there any sort of plugin that will make series of books show up as a collapsible entry in the list of books you have?

So like, instead of it showing 7 individual Harry Potter books in the list, I can have it only show "Harry Potter" in the list, with the ability to expand it to show all 7 under that heading?

@SmashingTool - not that I know of, and I suspect it would be tricky to implement such a PI.

If you highlight a book in a particular series and press Alt/Shift/S that will do a search for books in that series - you might need to change calibre's search highlighting (← click)

And of course you can select series from the "Tag Browser" - left sidebar.

I would like a plugin to input my purchased darkhorse comics to convert to other formats. Darkhorse store their comics in a folder with a bunch of jpegs not in page order and a manifest.json text file listing the display order and page layout

In the Library:
Quickview
Set (click) the cursor on the Series Name: tap 'Q'
NB This feature also works for Author, Publisher

For (folder and file name devices) the template language: {series}/{series-index} - {title}

Series index IN FRONT of title puts the titles in Index order when alpha sorted

Calibre does send to Kindle (as a connected device).
Calibre can e-mail to your Kindle (via Amazon)

First of all, thanks for everybody. Calibre is very powerful.

I don't have any idea of phyton, I tried to understand the code of a plugin for use in another and it is too difficult for me .

I "need" a Metadata Source Plugin thats search in http://www.compartelibros.com/ is a very big database in spanish. With old and new books, the registered users can make new records and the database is growing everyday. Today 130000 books.

Profanity substitution filter.
There are a lot of good books that would not be bad for my 8yo to read, except for the extreme language of certain characters. It would be cool to be able to just flip a switch to swap out the worst of it and let him read the book.
Just blanking out words with asterisk * isn't really that useful, but subbing in alternate phrases and words would be great.
Do you think a plugin could accomplish this?

@abinning - Toxaris' Toolbox, Search and Replace feature can do this. It operates on Word files, IIRC he's hinted that he might port some functionality into a calibre editor and/or sigil plugin to operate on ePub files. See e-Book Tools - a Word add-in

ISBN-13 is ISBN-13
The country identifier (after the 978) digit
