Thanks, Josie. It all sounds plausible. We'll have to wait and see

All I want is one that will let you set your own margins and let you choose your own font size without going straight from too small to too big. That's what they should sort out before adding silly animations.

Don't understand the hype around increased performance. Starting to sound like Apple and their iPad releases.

A faster CPU would certainly make some things, such as web browsing and PDF rendering, a lot smoother. If it doesn't come at the expense of shorter battery life, it's a worthwhile improvement.

It would be great if they would use their analytics to poll Kindle owners on features they want, including a larger screen device.

They already had a large-screen eInk device (the Kindle DX), and it was a commercial failure. Amazon spend an awful lot of money of consumer research, and I'm sure that if they felt there was a viable market for large-screen eInk device, we'd see one. I think personally that that particular market has been overtaken by tablets.

Web browsing? Is the Voyage2 going to be a tablet?
I read a lot and I can't say the "small but discernible" flicker when I turn pages is an issue even if it is greater every six pages. I wonder if they can make a cheap ereader with a large screen for those who want it? |

As much as I don't have an issue with my screen an improvement would be great. I'd like one without a yellow tint at the top.
I'm not sure if a faster CPU would would help with the timelag for adding books to collections that could be a cloud issue but it would be nice if it did, it may only be a few seconds but I am tired of waiting for a black tick before I can press done. |

Interesting...I'm still on the fence about buying a Voyage. I'd really like one but haven't been able to talk myself into spending the $ yet.
The article mentions animated page turns. Personally, I don't like animated page turns on my tablets--always turn that off (if possible). Hopefully if they do indeed incorporate animated page turns it'd be a function the user could turn off. |

As far as I can tell, Goodereader has no evidence other than the existence of the i.MX7 processor and the assumption that any new KV2 would use it.
Oh yeah ![]() About par the course for Goodereader, really. ZERO facts. |
